If you're like me, you have so many passwords that I'm forgetting them and having to reset the passwords on a regular basis. How can anyone remember so many passwords?
KeePass is a password manager that consolidates all those passwords and is kept secure with of course, a password. But, all you have to remember is just ONE password!
After installing the first time you open KeePass, you have to create the file that will store your passwords.
You'll be prompted for a master key. Make it a good one. That's the password you're going to use from now on to unlock all the passwords you want to keep track of.
Just click the Add Entry button. You'll be able to enter a title for the password, user name, password, URL and description if desired.
I keep things simple and erase the pre-filled box password suggestion with my current password when creating an entry.
Then, I make a backup copy of my KeePass file.
Accessing sites is as simple as clicking the URL or, dragging and dropping the key in the list on my browser window!
Life just got better. I CAN remember one password and of course the best part, it's FREE!
